Houston Bass Club of the Deaf, Inc. (HBCD) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1968 to promote education, social and sportmanship to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Bass Anglers through local, state and national level of Bass Tournaments.
HBCD shall be open to any Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Deaf Blind individuals that want to become a prominent bass angler. HBCD encourage kids age 2 to 17 year old to participate in the Junior Anglers Tournament annually where they can develop as well become a skillful bass angler. CODA individuals are welcome to join our organization regardless they are not a bass angler but wanted to be part and support HBCD. In major Tournament hosted by HBCD, CODA will not be able to participate as deemed by HBCD guidelines. CODA (17 years old and under) can participate in the Junior Anglers Tournament as described in HBCD guidelines.
HBCD shall host annual tournaments and local monthly tournaments at a site decided by the members. HBCD Junior Anglers Tournament will be part of the annual tourney on a different date decided by the members.
